Section 5.708 - Permit Fee Exemption for Certain Research Projects(a) In this section: (1) "Institution of higher education" has the meaning assigned by Section 61.003, Education Code.(2) "State agency" has the meaning assigned by Section 572.002, Government Code.(b) If a permit issued by the commission is required for a research project by an institution of higher education or a state agency, payment of a fee is not required for the permit.Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 965, Sec. 3.03, eff. 9/1/2001.
