Section 8511.0203 - Removal(a) The governor may remove a director from office for:(3) misconduct in office; or(4) absence from three consecutive regular board meetings.(b) Before a director is removed from office, the board shall conduct a hearing on the charges against the director, and the director is entitled to appear at the hearing and present evidence to show why the director should not be removed from office.(c) At least 30 days before the date of the hearing, the director shall be given notice of: (1) the charges against the director; and(2) the time and place for the hearing.(d) An affirmative vote of not fewer than 11 of the directors is required to approve a removal recommendation.(e) A removal recommendation shall be forwarded to the governor for the governor's consideration and action in accordance with this section.Tex.
