Section 1069.154 - Ratification Election(a) Annexation of territory is final when approved by a majority of the voters at: (1) an election held in the district; and(2) a separate election held in the territory proposed to be annexed.(b) The order calling the election shall provide for clerks as in county elections and must specify: (1) the date of the election;(2) the location of the polling places;(3) the form of the ballot; and(4) the presiding and alternate election judges for each polling place.(c) Notice of the election shall be given by publishing a substantial copy of the election order in a newspaper of general circulation in the county once each week for two consecutive weeks. The first publication must occur at least 30 days before the date of the election.(d) Section 41.001(a), Election Code, does not apply to an election held under this section.Tex. Spec. Dist. Loc.
