Section 1030.051 - Board Election; Term(a) Unless the district's boundaries are expanded under Subchapter H, the district is governed by a board of seven directors.(b) Unless the district's boundaries are expanded under Subchapter H: (1) two directors are elected from each commissioners precinct and one director is elected from the district at large; and(2) the portion of Precinct 4 that is in the district is combined with Precinct 1 to represent one precinct.(c) Unless four-year terms are established under Section 285.081, Health and Safety Code: (1) directors serve staggered two-year terms; and(2) an election shall be held on the uniform election date in May of each year to elect the appropriate number of directors.Tex.
