Section 21.214 - Bids on Contracts for Purchase of Vehicles, Equipment, and Supplies Over $15,000; Exception(a) If the estimated amount of a proposed contract to purchase vehicles, equipment, or supplies is more than $15,000, the board shall ask for competitive bids as provided by Subchapter B, Chapter 271, Local Government Code.(b) This section does not apply to: (1) the purchase of property from a public agency; or(2) a contract for personal or professional services.Tex.
