Section 1305.253 - Hearings; Administrative Procedure(a) If the department proposes to deny a license or take disciplinary action against a license holder, the license holder is entitled to a hearing.(b) The proceedings relating to a license denial and disciplinary action by the department under this chapter are governed by Chapter 2001, Government Code. A hearing under this chapter may be conducted by a hearings officer designated by the commission.Tex. Occ. Code § 1305.253
