Section 1071.503 - Civil Penalty(a) A person who violates this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter is liable for a civil penalty not to exceed $1,500 for each violation.(b) At the request of the board, the attorney general shall bring an action to recover the civil penalty in the name of the state.(c) A civil penalty recovered under this section shall be deposited in the state treasury.Tex.
