Section 1071.361 - Access to County Surveyor Records(a) A licensed state land surveyor is entitled to access to a county surveyor's records for information and examination.(b) An examination fee may not be charged if the investigation of the records is for the purpose of:(1) making a survey of public land under the law regulating the sale or lease of public land; or(2) identifying and establishing the boundaries of public land.(c) A licensed state land surveyor who examines records under this section shall comply with any regulations prescribed by the county surveyor or the commissioners court for protecting and preserving the records.Tex.
