Section 1071.259 - Registration of Out-Of-State Surveyors(a) The board may waive any registration requirement for an applicant who holds a license from another state having registration or licensing requirements substantially equivalent to the registration requirements of this state.(b) The board may issue a certificate of registration as a registered professional land surveyor to an applicant under this section who meets all waived and unwaived registration requirements and who:(1) applies to the board for a certificate of registration;(2) pays a fee set by the board; and(3) passes an examination on Texas surveying.(c) The board shall determine the contents of the examination under Subsection (b)(3). The examination may not exceed four hours in duration.Tex. Occ. Code § 1071.259
