Section 603.254 - Qualification for Examination(a) To qualify for the licensing examinations under this chapter, an applicant must have successfully completed a perfusion education program approved by the medical board.(b) The medical board may approve a perfusion education program only if the program has educational standards that are:(1) at least as stringent as those established by the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education of the American Medical Association or its successor; and(2) approved by the Commission on Accreditation of the Allied Health Education Program of the American Medical Association or its successor.Amended by Acts 2015, Texas Acts of the 84th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 838,Sec. 2.118, eff. 9/1/2015.Amended By Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 231, Sec. 38, eff. 9/1/2005.
