Section 507.402 - Civil Penalty(a) A person who violates this chapter, a law regulating the applicable profession, or an executive council rule is liable to the state for a civil penalty not to exceed $1,000 for each day of violation.(b) At the request of the executive council, the attorney general shall bring an action to recover a civil penalty authorized under this section.Added by Acts 2019, Texas Acts of the 86th Leg.- Regular Session, ch. 768,Sec. 1.001, eff. 9/1/2019.
