Section 351.607 - Dispensing Contact Lenses; Penalty(a) A person commits an offense if the person dispenses a contact lens by mail or otherwise to a patient in this state without having a valid prescription signed by an optometrist, therapeutic optometrist, or licensed physician.(b) An offense under Subsection (a) is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $1,000 for each lens dispensed.
