Section 351.451 - Prohibited Treatment By License Holder(a) An optometrist or therapeutic optometrist may not provide a person with treatment except as authorized by law.(b) An optometrist or therapeutic optometrist who violates Subsection (a) is considered to be practicing medicine without a license and, in addition to the penalties prescribed for a violation of this chapter, is subject to the penalty for the practice of medicine without a license.
