Section 201.054 - Terms; Vacancy(a) Members of the board are appointed for staggered six-year terms. The terms of one-third of the members expire on February 1 of each odd-numbered year.(b) A person may not be appointed to serve more than two terms.(c) If a vacancy occurs because of the death or resignation of a board member, the governor shall appoint a replacement to fill the unexpired term.
