Section 2001.304 - Temporary Authorization(a) The commission shall issue a temporary authorization for the activity requested if a license for the activity is not issued or denied before the 31st day after the earliest date on which each of the following has occurred: (1) the filing of an application for the license;(2) the payment of the proper license fee;(3) the filing of a copy of a tax exemption statement issued by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c), Internal Revenue Code of 1986, if required; and(4) the completion of a criminal background investigation.(b) A temporary authorization is effective for not more than 60 days, subject to automatic revocation, if a denial letter is issued.(c) The commission may extend the effective period of the temporary authorization on written request filed before the end of the period.(d) A temporary authorization may not be effective for more than one year from the date of its original issuance.Tex.
