Section 2035.002 - Initiation of Legalization Election
The commissioners court:
(1) may, on its own motion by a majority vote of its members, order an election to approve the legalization of pari-mutuel wagering on horse races or greyhound races; and(2) shall order an election on presentation of a petition meeting the requirements of this chapter.
