(a) A person who violates this chapter is liable to a penalty of not more than $1,000 for each offense.(b) Each day a violation occurs constitutes a separate offense.(c) The penalty may be recovered by the State of Texas, with costs of suit, in a civil action instituted by the attorney general in Travis County, in the county in which the violation occurred, or in the county of residence of the defendant.Tex.
