Section 351.122 - Eligible Counties; Purpose; Boundaries(a) A jail district may be created by a county or by two or more counties that have contracted with one another for the joint operation of a jail under Subchapter B.(b) A jail district may be created to finance and effect the construction, acquisition, or improvement of a jail facility to serve the county or counties comprising the district.(c) A district is composed of the area of the county or cooperating counties that created the district.Tex.
