Tex. Ins. Code § 982.302

Section 982.302 - Reinsurance Not Prohibited

This chapter does not prohibit a foreign insurance company from:

(1) reinsuring a domestic insurance company; or

(2) locating in this state, if the company does not directly insure persons domiciled in this state or insure against risks located in this state.
