Section 22.028 - Electronic Benefits Transfer: Monitoring(a) The private electronic benefits transfer (EBT) operator with which the commission contracts to administer the EBT system shall establish procedures to maintain records that monitor all debit transactions relating to EBT client accounts under this section. The EBT operator shall deliver copies of the records to the commission and the comptroller not later than the first day of each month. The commission shall immediately review the records and assess the propriety of the debit transactions.(b) After reviewing the records under Subsection (a), the commission shall take necessary or advisable action to ensure compliance with EBT rules by the EBT operator, retailers, and clients.(c) Repealed by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 573 (S.B. 241), Sec. 3.01(4), eff.
