Section 593.002 - Consent Required(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), the department or a community center may not provide intellectual disability services to a client without the client's legally adequate consent.(b) The department or community center may provide nonresidential intellectual disability services, including a determination of an intellectual disability, to a client without the client's legally adequate consent if the department or community center has made all reasonable efforts to obtain consent.(c) The executive commissioner by rule shall prescribe the efforts to obtain consent that are reasonable and the documentation for those efforts.Tex.
