Section 286.044 - Application For Place On Ballot(a) A person who wishes to have the person's name printed on the ballot as a candidate for director must file an application with the secretary of the board in accordance with Chapter 144, Election Code. (b) [Repealed by 2023 amendment](c) If directors are elected by place, the application must specify the place for which the applicant is to be a candidate.(d) If the directors are elected from commissioners precincts and at large, the application must specify:(1) the commissioner precinct the candidate wishes to represent; or(2) that the candidate wishes to represent the district at large.Tex.
