Section 242.007 - Consultation and Cooperation(a) Whenever possible, the department shall use the services of and consult with state and local agencies in carrying out its responsibility under this chapter.(b) The department may cooperate with local public health officials of a county or municipality in carrying out this chapter and may delegate to those officials the power to make inspections and recommendations to the department in accordance with this chapter.(c) The department may coordinate its personnel and facilities with a local agency of a municipality or county and may provide advice to the municipality or county if the municipality or county decides to supplement the state program with additional rules required to meet local conditions.Tex.
