Section 85.142 - Adoption of Policy(a) Each state and local law enforcement agency, fire department, emergency medical services provider, municipal and county correctional facility, and district probation department shall adopt a policy for handling persons with AIDS or HIV infection who are in their custody or under their supervision.(b) The policy must be substantially similar to a model policy developed by the department under Section 85.141.(c) A policy adopted under this section applies to persons who contract or subcontract with an entity required to adopt the policy under Subsection (a).Tex.
