Section 81.209 - Use of Physical Restraint(a) A physical restraint may not be applied to a person unless a physician prescribes the restraint.(b) A physical restraint shall be removed as soon as possible.(c) Each use of a physical restraint and the reason for the use shall be made a part of the patient's clinical record. The physician who prescribed the restraint shall sign the record.Tex. Health and Safety Code § 81.209
