Section 1477.057 - Election(a) Before construction of a project may begin and before a project may be improved, repaired, or extended under Section 1477.063, the commissioners court by resolution must order an election.(b) In addition to the requirements provided by Chapter 3, Election Code, the election order must: (1) describe the proposed project;(2) state the amount, rate of interest, and maturity dates of bonds to be issued to pay for the proposed project;(3) state whether a tax will be imposed to redeem the bonds; and(4) state the amount of any tax to be imposed to redeem the bonds.(c) If a majority of the voters in the county approve the issuance of bonds under this subchapter, the commissioners court shall issue the bonds as provided by this subchapter.Tex.
