Section 614.054 - When Firearm May Be Purchased; Delay of Sale By Governmental Entity(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), an individual must purchase a firearm under Section 614.051 before the second anniversary of the date of the person's retirement or under Section 614.052 before the second anniversary of the date of the officer's death.(b) A governmental entity that cannot immediately replace the firearm may delay the sale of the firearm until the entity can replace the firearm.Tex.
