Section 614.007 - Insufficiency in Number of Employees; Exchange of Time By Other Employees(a) If an employer determines that granting a legislative leave will result in having an insufficient number of employees to carry out the normal functions of the employer, another peace officer or fire fighter of equal rank may volunteer to exchange time of work with the applicant if overtime does not result.(b) The employer shall allow a volunteer under Subsection (a) to work for the applicant and shall grant the legislative leave, if overtime will not result and if the volunteer work will result in having a sufficient number of employees.Tex.
