Section 81.031 - Conflict of Interest(a) The executive director and the general counsel of the state bar are subject to Chapter 572.(b) A person may not serve as a member of the board of directors or as the general counsel to the state bar if the person is required to register as a lobbyist under Chapter 305, Government Code, because of the person's activities for compensation on behalf of a profession related to the operation of the state bar.Tex.
