Section 25.0512 - Cooke County Court At Law Provisions(a) In addition to the jurisdiction provided by Section 25.0003 and other law, a county court at law in Cooke County has concurrent jurisdiction with the district court in family law cases and proceedings.(b) The district clerk serves as clerk of a county court at law in family law cases and proceedings, and the county clerk serves as clerk of the court in all other cases and proceedings.(c) The judge of a county court at law shall be paid annual compensation equal to the annual compensation, including all supplements, paid from any public source to a district judge in the county. The salary of the judge of a county court at law shall be paid in equal installments at least monthly.(d) Repealed by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 3, Sec. 4.50(a)(23), eff. January 1, 2012.(e) A court officer appointed by the judge of a county court at law shall be sworn by the judge by an oath in the general form provided by law for appointed officials. The judge shall modify the oath to apply to the particular officer and duties or to conform to any statutory oath required for the particular position.(f) An official court reporter of a county court at law may be paid: (1) annual compensation equal to the annual compensation paid the official court reporters serving each district court in Cooke County; and(2) any longevity pay to which the reporter is entitled under a county compensation program.(g) Repealed by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 3, Sec. 4.50(a)(23), eff.
