Section 273.002 - Purposes; Liberal Construction(a) The purposes of this chapter are to:(1) establish a fund in this state to aid the commissioner in maintaining the solvency of associations that contribute to the fund; and(2) safeguard the public interest and promote public confidence in domestic associations doing business in this state by making the fund available to the commissioner to be used to: (A) protect and rehabilitate the assets of member associations; and(B) maintain the solvency of member associations.(b) This chapter shall be liberally construed to effect its purposes.
