Section 65.009 - Effect of Adjudication(a) An adjudication of a child as having engaged in truant conduct is not a conviction of crime. An order of adjudication does not impose any civil disability ordinarily resulting from a conviction or operate to disqualify the child in any civil service application or appointment.(b) The adjudication of a child as having engaged in truant conduct may not be used in any subsequent court proceedings, other than for the purposes of determining an appropriate remedial action under this chapter or in an appeal under this chapter.Added by Acts 2015, Texas Acts of the 84th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 935,Sec. 27, eff. 9/1/2015.
