Section 88.107 - Forest Land: Acquisition By Gift or Purchase(a) On the recommendation of the board, the governor may accept gifts of land to the state to be held, protected, and administered by the board as state forests and to be used to demonstrate the practical utility of timber culture and water conservation and for game preserves. The gifts may be on terms and conditions agreed upon between the grantors of the property and the board.(b) The board may purchase lands in the name of the state suitable chiefly for the production of timber as state forests, using for that purpose any special appropriation.(c) All conveyances of property, by gift or otherwise, shall be submitted to the attorney general for approval as to form.
