Section 61.534 - Eligible Loans(a) The coordinating board may provide repayment assistance for the repayment of any student loan for education at an institution of higher education, including loans for undergraduate education, received by a physician through any lender.(b) The coordinating board may not provide repayment assistance for a student loan that is in default at the time of the physician's application.(c) Each fiscal biennium, the coordinating board shall attempt to allocate all funds appropriated to it for the purpose of providing repayment assistance under this subchapter.Amended by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 1027, Sec. 13, eff. 9/1/1989Amended by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 1084, Sec. 1.26, eff. 9/1/1989.Added by Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 517, Sec. 1, eff. 9/1/1985.
