Section 61.064 - Cooperative Undertakings With Private Colleges and Universities The board shall:
(1) enlist the cooperation of private colleges and universities in developing a statewide plan for the orderly growth of the Texas system of higher education;(2) encourage cooperation between public and private institutions of higher education wherever possible and may enter into cooperative undertakings with those institutions on a shared-cost basis as permitted by law;(3) consider the availability of degree and certificate programs in private institutions of higher education in determining programs for public institutions of higher education; and(4) cooperate with these private institutions, within statutory and constitutional limitations, to achieve the purposes of this chapter.
