(a) The commissioner shall adopt rules as necessary to administer this chapter.(b) In adopting a rule under this chapter, the commissioner shall solicit input statewide from persons who would likely be affected by the proposed rule, including school district boards of trustees, administrators and teachers employed by school districts, parents of students enrolled in school districts, and other interested stakeholders.Added by Acts 2017, Texas Acts of the 85th Leg. - Regular Session, ch. 807,Sec. 6, eff. 6/15/2017, op. beginning with the 2017-2018 school year.
