Section 7.108 - Prohibition on Political Contribution or Activity(a) A person interested in selling bonds of any type or a person engaged in manufacturing, shipping, selling, or advertising instructional materials commits an offense if the person makes or authorizes a political contribution to or takes part in, directly or indirectly, the campaign of any person seeking election to or serving on the board.(b) An offense under Subsection (a) is a Class B misdemeanor.(c) In this section: (1) "Instructional material" has the meaning assigned by Section 31.002.(2) "Political contribution" has the meaning assigned by Section 251.001, Election Code.Amended by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., 1st C.S., Ch. 6, Sec. 5, eff. 7/19/2011.Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 260, Sec. 1, eff. 5/30/1995.
