Section 55A.254 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Hearing; Notice(a) The court shall set a hearing on an ex parte petition for expunction not earlier than 30 days from the filing of the petition and shall give to each official or agency or other governmental entity named in the petition reasonable notice of the hearing by:(1) certified mail, return receipt requested; or(2) secure electronic mail, electronic transmission, or facsimile transmission.(b) An entity described by Subsection (a) may be represented by the attorney responsible for providing the entity with legal representation in other matters.(c) Any returned receipts received by the clerk from notices of the hearing shall be maintained in the file on the proceedings under Article 55A.356(b).
