Section 45A.162 - [Effective 1/1/2025] Directed Verdict

If, on the trial of a case in a justice or municipal court, the state fails to prove a prima facie case of the offense alleged in the complaint, the defendant is entitled to a directed verdict of not guilty. (Code Crim. Proc., Art. 45.032.)
