Section 122.055 - Shipping Certificate or Cargo Manifest(a) The department shall develop a shipping certificate or cargo manifest which the department shall issue to a license holder in connection with the transportation of a shipment of hemp plant material originating in this state, other than sterilized seeds that are incapable of beginning germination.(b) A certificate or manifest developed under Subsection (a) must include a unique identifying number for the shipment and the department's contact information to allow law enforcement during a roadside inspection of a motor vehicle transporting the shipment to verify that the shipment consists of hemp cultivated in compliance with this chapter.(c) The department may coordinate with the Department of Public Safety to determine whether information included on a certificate or manifest issued under Subsection (a), including the unique identifying number, may be made available to law enforcement personnel through the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System or a successor system of telecommunication used by law enforcement agencies and operated by the Department of Public Safety.(d) A person commits an offense if the person, with intent to deceive law enforcement, forges, falsifies, or alters a shipping certificate or cargo manifest issued under this section.
