Section 68-1-106 - Acceptance of benefits of acts of congress(a) The state of Tennessee does hereby accept the benefits of any acts now passed or hereafter to be passed by the senate and house of representatives of the United States to provide for cooperation with the states in the protection of mothers and infants and promotion of a public health program. The state treasurer is empowered to receive grants of money appropriated under any act of congress and in accordance with any act of congress.(b) The department of health is required to carry on work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the acts of congress, and shall have necessary authority to cooperate with the federal authorities administering the acts, the department to be deemed the administering agency under the federal acts.Acts 1923, ch. 65, §§ 1, 2; Shan.
