Section 56-35-127 - Administration of chapter - Penalties(a) The commissioner is charged with the administration of this chapter.(b) Each violation of this chapter is a Class C misdemeanor.(c) In addition to the criminal penalties, the commissioner may assess a civil penalty not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500) for each and every violation of any provisions of this chapter, or of any rule or regulation duly promulgated under this chapter.Acts 1955, ch. 173, § 18; T.C.A., § 56-3427; Acts 1980, ch. 857, § 7; 1989, ch. 591, § 113.
