Section 56-1-602 - Records - Inspection by public(a) The records of the department shall, at all times, be open to the inspection of the public, subject to rules made by the commissioner for their safekeeping, free from any charge whatever.(b) The commissioner shall, on demand, furnish certified copies of any paper, report, or document on file in the commissioner's office to any person requesting them, upon payment of the fee allowed by law.Acts 1873, ch. 58, § 12; Shan., § 3342; mod.
