Section 49-6-304 - Toll-free number for reports of child abuse - Posting in area visible to all students - Other signage requirements(a) Every elementary and secondary school shall post in a clearly visible location in a public area of the school that is readily accessible to students a sign that contains the toll-free telephone number operated by the department of children's services to receive reports of child abuse or neglect.(b) The sign shall be written using a format and language that is clear, simple, and understandable to students. The sign shall additionally also instruct students to call 911 for emergencies and provide directions for accessing the department of children's services website for more information on reporting abuse, neglect, and exploitation.(c) Schools shall post the sign at each school campus in at least one (1) high-traffic, highly and clearly visible public area that is readily accessible to and widely used by students. The sign shall be on paper of eight and one-half inches (81/2") by eleven inches (11") or larger in large print and placed at eye level to the student for easy viewing.
