Section 46-2-17 - Chief engineer's general enforcement authority The chief engineer may:
(1) Investigate the use of the waters of the state and compliance with the provisions of water permits, licenses, rules, regulations, and laws relating to water rights;(2) Institute enforcement and other proceedings before the Water Management Board;(3) Enforce orders of the board; and(4) Perform other acts authorized by statute or regulation.
