Grand theft is a Class 6 felony, if the property stolen:
(1) Exceeds one thousand dollars in value but is less than or equal to two thousand five hundred dollars;(2) Is a firearm with a value of less than or equal to two thousand five hundred dollars;(3) Is taken from the person of another with a value of less than or equal to two thousand five hundred dollars; or(4) The property stolen is cattle, horses, mules, sheep, goats, buffalo, or captive nondomestic elk with a value of less than or equal to two thousand five hundred dollars.Grand theft is a Class 5 felony if the value of the property is more than two thousand five hundred dollars but less than or equal to five thousand dollars.
Grand theft is a Class 4 felony if the value of the property is more than five thousand dollars but less than or equal to one hundred thousand dollars.
Grand theft is a Class 3 felony if the value of the property is more than one hundred thousand dollars but less than or equal to five hundred thousand dollars.
