Section 74.20A.300 - Medical support-Health care coverage required(1) Whenever a support order is entered or modified under this chapter, the department shall require either or both parents to provide medical support for any dependent child, in the nature of health care coverage or a monthly payment toward the premium, as provided under RCW 26.09.105.(2) A parent ordered to provide health care coverage shall provide proof of such coverage or proof that such coverage is unavailable to the department within twenty days of the entry of the order.(3) A parent required to provide health care coverage must notify the department and the other parent when coverage terminates.(4) Every order requiring a parent to provide health care coverage shall be entered in compliance with *RCW 26.23.050 and be subject to direct enforcement as provided under chapter 26.18 RCW.Amended by 2018 c 150,§ 110, eff. 6/7/2018. 2009 c 476 § 6; 1994 c 230 § 22; 1989 c 416 § 6.*Reviser's note: The reference to RCW 26.23.050 appears to refer to the amendments made by 1989 c 416 § 8 that were subsequently vetoed by the governor.
