Section 24.03A.360 - Member's liability for dues, fees, and assessments(1) A membership corporation may levy dues, assessments, and fees on its members to the extent authorized in the articles or bylaws. Particular dues, assessments, and fees may be imposed in the articles or bylaws or by resolution of the board, subject to any membership approval required under RCW 24.03A.695(1), on members of the same class either alike or in different amounts or proportions, and may be imposed on a different basis on different classes of members. Members of a class may be made exempt from dues, assessments, and fees to the extent provided in the articles or bylaws or by resolution of the board.(2) The amount and method of collection of dues, assessments, and fees may be fixed in the articles or bylaws, or the articles or bylaws may authorize the board or members to fix the amount and method of collection, with or without approval of the class or classes of members affected.(3) The articles or bylaws may provide reasonable means, such as termination and reinstatement of membership, to enforce the collection of dues, assessments, and fees.Added by 2021 c 176,§ 2110, eff. 1/1/2022.Effective date- 2021 c 176 : See note following RCW 24.03A.005.
