Section 161 - Certified copies of documents and records

The bureau, upon request of any party to a compensation agreement or to any proceedings taken before the board or a referee, shall, without charge, issue to such party or parties a certified copy of any compensation agreement approved by the board, or any award or disallowance of compensation, or of any action taken by the board upon such agreement or award or disallowance of compensation, or of the receipts of payments of compensation filed with the bureau; and the bureau may, without charge, issue a certified copy of any other paper contained in the record of such proceedings to any party or parties thereto, if the board shall so direct.

The board may issue to any other person, upon the order of the board, a certified copy of any compensation agreement, or of the record of any proceedings taken before the board or referee, or of any document contained in such record, upon payment of such fee as the board may determine to be adequate to provide for the expenses of making such copy. All certified copies of any document on file with the bureau or part of the record of any proceedings taken before the board or referee shall be certified by the chairman of the board, and attested by the secretary.
