Section 1194 - Records; removal, etc.; punishment

The Department of State Police shall collect and classify and keep at all times available complete information useful for the detection of crime and the identification and apprehension of criminals. Such information shall be available for all police officers within the Commonwealth, under such regulations as the department may prescribe.

Any person who removes, destroys, or mutilates any such records is guilty of a misdemeanor, and, on conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars, or committed to the county jail for a term not exceeding one year, or both.
